I just don't think it supports new creativity in comedy if they wheel out already well known names in comedy to try and replicate past glories without care and thought- in this case I agree, it's like Vic is making it up as he goes along...but at the same time it lacks the spontaneity of truly great improvisation. NB: For this problem see also the recent come-back of 'Saturday Live'...the original (which sadly I was far too young to appreciate at the time) supported new acts...this was just a mixture of acts trying to showcase their upcoming new series/DVD release (Mitchell & Webb) or the acts that can be billed as new and exciting cos they muck about on stage (We Are Klang)...but in fact are quite a safe-bet as they've been on the circuit for a while now.
